Lee Memorial Hospital is a 367-bed acute care facility with the only Level II Trauma Center between Tampa and Miami. The hospital opened in 1916. It has been honored as one of the 100 Top Hospitals for stroke, orthopedics and intensive care. The hospital has the seventh most active joint replacement center in the nation. Personnel include 1,800 employees, more than 1,000 physicians on the medical staff and more than 500 volunteers.
