Gulf Coast Medical Center consists of 349 beds, with all new rooms being private. The 43-bed emergency department features 28 exam rooms, 10 observation units, and five trauma rooms. The new surgery department has 22 operating rooms. Situated near the center of the county, the new hospital location is accessible from the north/south corridors via U.S. 41 or I-75, and from the east/west via either Daniels Parkway or Six Mile Cypress Pkwy/Gladiolus Blvd.

Services include:  Emergency Department - 43 beds, Comprehensive Cardiovascular care, including Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Angioplasty, Cardiac Catheterization, Kidney Transplantation, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery & Spine Surgery, Neurology and Stroke Care, Obstetrics and Gynecological Care, Inpatient Oncology Services, General and Vascular Surgery, General Medicine, Intensive Care Units, and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, including physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and hand therapy.
